UBEC Hosts Landmark Workshop Uniting All 37 SUBEB Chairmen to Strengthen Basic Education in Nigeria

On 24th February 2024, under the leadership of Executive Secretary Aisha Garba, UBEC convened all 37 SUBEB Chairmen to commence a three-day workshop aimed at strengthening partnerships for quality basic education in Nigeria. Addressing challenges in funding, infrastructure, and teacher shortages necessitates collaboration, accountability, and effective policy implementation.

Education serves as the cornerstone of national development, and partnerships between UBEC, SUBEBs, and State Ministries of Education are essential to ensure no child is left behind. This workshop transcends a mere meeting; it embodies a collective commitment to actionable progress.

In a historic first, tomorrow’s session will unite all 37 SUBEB Chairmen and State Commissioners of Education, chaired by the Executive Secretary, to enhance collaboration at both national and subnational levels. Development partners will also join these discussions as we collectively strive toward a singular goal of providing every Nigerian child with access to quality education.
