Office of the Deputy Executive Secretary (Technical)

INTRODUCTION

The Office of the Deputy Executive Secretary (Technical) is established by the UBE Act, 2004 as one of the two Deputy Executive Secretaries to assist the Executive Secretary in the running of Universal Basic Education Commission.

FUNCTIONS

1. Coordinates the Technical Departments of the Commission, namely:

         Department of Planning, Research and Statistics

         Department of Quality Assurance

         Department of Academic Services

         Department of Physical Planning

2.      Any other assignment as maybe assigned by the Executive Secretary.

Department of Teacher Development The Units are: a) Teacher Professional Development (TPD) b) Federal Teachers’ Scheme (FTS) c) Innovation and Instructional Technology (IIT)

Dr. Danjuma Adamu Dabo – Rep. North East

Dr. Danjuma hails from Bauchi State. He obtained M.Sc Public Administration and Policy Analysis from the University of Abuja, MBA form Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria and Ph.D Economics from the Loughborough University, UK.
