On October 23, 2024, the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) formally inaugurated the Anti-Corruption and Transparency Unit (ACTU) at the Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC). This unit was established to reinforce transparency, promote accountability, and combat corruption within UBEC’s operations. At the inauguration ceremony, ICPC representatives emphasized the significance of the ACTU in fostering a culture of integrity and ethical standards within the education sector.
