Digital Revolution in Education: UBEC Launches Quality Assurance Platform

The Federal Ministry of Education and the Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC) took a significant step towards revolutionizing the educational landscape in Nigeria on September 5, 2024. The event, held at the UBEC Digital Resource Centre in Abuja, showcased a groundbreaking digital quality assurance platform designed to enhance school evaluation processes nationwide.

Dignitaries from the Federal Ministry of Education, the UBEC Executive Secretary and his team, Quality Assurance Officers from States and the Federal Capital Territory, and other key stakeholders were in attendance. The platform, a product of innovation and collaboration, aims to empower education through technology-driven solutions.

The new digital platform is expected to streamline the school evaluation process, making it more efficient and reliable. By leveraging advanced technology, the platform will provide a comprehensive assessment of schools, including their infrastructure, teaching and learning resources, and overall quality of education. This will enable policymakers to make informed decisions and allocate resources more effectively.

The launch of the digital quality assurance platform marks a significant milestone in Nigeria’s efforts to improve the quality of education at the basic level. It is a testament to the government’s commitment to harnessing technology to drive educational development and ensure that all children have access to quality education.
