Nigeria Forms National Committee to Tackle Almajiri and Out-of-School Children Crisis

Under the leadership of Honorable Minister of Education, Dr. Morufu Olatunji Alausa @DrTunjiAlausa, and the Minister of State for Education, Professor Suwaiba Said @Suwaiba_Said, we have inaugurated a committee on Almajiri and Out of School Children to develop a National Policy on Almajiri Education and its Implementation Guidelines.

As the Executive Secretary of the Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC), we are committed to collaborating with the Federal Ministry of Education, National Commission for Almajiri and Out-of-School Children to formulate sustainable solutions that effectively address the systemic challenges for Almajiri and out-of-school children.

This initiative reaffirms the Federal Government’s dedication to remain steadfast in supporting a policy framework that promotes inclusive and equitable learning opportunities, ensuring no child is left behind.

Dr. Danjuma Adamu Dabo – Rep. North East

Dr. Danjuma hails from Bauchi State. He obtained M.Sc Public Administration and Policy Analysis from the University of Abuja, MBA form Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria and Ph.D Economics from the Loughborough University, UK.
